Hi! I guess it’s time for another unboxing!

I actually got this a few weeks ago, but haven’t had the chance to post it. And because of the timing, I may actually post my review of the featured book shortly since I finished it last weekend and I’m really excited to share my thoughts with you all.

I was quite looking forward to this box because I heard a lot of great things about the book and I’m pretty sure it is the first contemporary book that Illumicrate has included as they’ve always included fantasy books. I was also really excited to find out that the MCs were college students so the plot is centered around a more mature set of characters. Anyway, I’ll have to save the rest of my thoughts about the book to include in my review 🙂

This is one of Illumicrate’s popular collectible items so I was really happy to get it in this box. I actually don’t really use them (I have one of the older ones) but I appreciated this much more after I finished the book; it fits so perfectly with the theme!

Inspired by City of Brass, this one is such a neat item to include. It would normally be my kind of thing but I’m in the middle of some craft projects so I didn’t think I’ll get to this soon enough and I didn’t have as much motivation as I have not yet read the series.

It’s funny because I just recently received an art print album from a previous Owlcrate box, but since The Invisible Life of Addie Larue is one of my favorites, I was naturally a lot more thrilled to receive this one! This one is such a beauty with all the foiled details!

These are beautiful illustrations but I also have not read Gilded Wolves so I’m afraid I didn’t appreciate it as much. I do love bookmark sets though, so I’m hoping for some inspired by books I’ve read in upcoming boxes for the year.

Before I read and thoroughly enjoyed the book, I actually thought Illumicrate’s customizations were a bit underwhelming, but I now appreciate the little details, like that bright blue hand grabbing the “A” in Portrait to represent the art heist, and the exclusive tiger silhouettes to represent the jade tiger – a significant element in the novel.
