Love & Luck was an absolutely wonderful read, mixing fresh and classic themes that all meld into a perfect contemporary piece! It’s a story about self-discovery, being brave, and worthy friendships.
I especially enjoyed that it’s not your usual YA contemporary romance read that is centered around the boy-girl romantic relationship – this one’s mostly about Addie’s relationship with her brother, Ian.
Addie’s journey to self-discovery is so great to read, and I just love how her friendships/relationships/interactions with people are portrayed. Even the “villain” in the story is somewhat lovable.
…age has nothing to with what you can accomplish – if you’ve got it, you’ve got it. Why wait until you grow up? And then once you’re all grown-up, why stop?
Besides the fun plot and characters, I love the wit and wisdom packed into this! I especially loved the entries from the Ireland for the Heartbroken guidebook – oh, how I wish it’s a real thing, I would sooo buy it. Not that I’m wishing for a broken heart. I just saw that the B&N exclusive edition has additional entries, so I might just grab myself a copy so I can own this beautiful book + read those fun entries!
You don’t need anyone, unless you want them. You’re enough all on your own. You’re more than enough. You’re Maeve.

I wanted to get this review out before the summer ends because it definitely is a PERFECT summer read! If you’re looking to get out of a reading slump, this one’s also for you, since it’s short and sweet and quite uplifting!
P.S. London is my top dream destination! Why? Two words: Jane Austen. Although I’ve read a lot of books set in Ireland and Scotland, I want to visit those too!!!
Thank you Simon & Schuster for my review copy!
Have you read Love & Luck and/or Love & Gelato yet? Which one did you like better, and why?
