UNBOXING: Fairyloot March 2018 Memorable Moments

Aloha, beautiful people! Guess what? You survived another Monday! 🙂

After much and much waiting, my Fairyloot finally arrived today (it was supposed to be delivered last Thursday, but you know how it is!)

This month’s box is actually 2-year anniversary box. It’s purple instead of black and I’ve been anticipating this for so long since I discovered Fairyloot when I saw the anniversary box for Strange the Dreamer last year! That one was amazing.

Sadly, this box was far from up to par with last year’s anniversary box. Don’t get me wrong, I love Fairyloot and it’s VERY unfair of me to have higher expectations for the anniversary box when I paid just as much as I normally do every month, but really, there’s no helping that creeping feeling of disappointment sometimes….

ANYWAY… this month’s MEMORABLE MOMENTS box included:

This one was actually pretty neat… and I guess, unique? It definitely fits the theme and I can see why Anissa thought it would be fun to include it. Right now, though, I’m not sure if I can use it (my room is so crowded already, as it is!!) but I will try.

I would love to see what you are doing with yours!!

I actually haven’t read the series, so I don’t really feel like I have the right to wear it, yet? I have some of the books and a penpal of mine speaks very highly of it so maybe I’ll try and read it before next winter when it’s time to wear scarves again!

I’m ecstatic about the scent of this one. It smells SO DELICIOUS – I feel like this is the first sweet/dessert-like scent that Fairyloot ever sent. And it’s Harry Potter-inspired! I also love the blue swirl detail and I can’t wait to light it up when I read the featured book!

Soap-wise, I think I’ve finally hit the jackpot! So far, the soaps I’ve received didn’t work for me (picky on scents!) and I ended up having to throw them away! But this one “smells” right up my alley 😉 Bilbo knows his stuff, and apparently Anissa does too!

First, I want to eat the candle then now I want to eat the soap. Fairyloot, LOOK WHAT YOU MADE ME DO!

This one sounds so delicious but I actually feel cautious. Last time they sent one, it was also vegan but it was Percy Jackson-inspired (and I love him!) and it sounded delicious, but I ended up NOT liking it AT ALL. It was horrible, and I had to eat so much other stuff just to get the horrible taste out of my mouth. So yeah, you can imagine my dilemma about this one: to try or not to try, that is the question.

Have you tried it? What did you think?

  • EXCLUSIVE Hardcover of Melinda Salisbury‘s State of Sorrow + postcard + signed bookplate + letter from the author

This one is actually a little bit confusing – because apparently the book is only available as a paperback, so the cover didn’t change one bit but hardcover versions were EXCLUSIVELY published/produced just for Fairyloot. I don’t really mind that much, I just thought I should point out the difference, because I saw a few people complain about it.

I really love the blue and the water ripple effect, and I’m quite excited to read this one actually! If you’ve read it, let me know what you think!

As for the letter from the author, it’s very long and detailed so that was nice, but I wished it was printed on thicker paper (it’s printed on letter size paper and is black/white or maybe even grayscale… LOL, I’m way too spoiled, I know it!

  • monthly MEMORABLE MOMENTS spoiler card + bookmark + Fairyscoop

The art print is actually my favorite item in this box because it looks even more beautiful in person!! Tara is just so talented, and I always look forward to the Fairyloot artwork she gives us every month!

The Fairyscoop has like a million pages this month, haha. Seriously though, it has SO MUCH STUFF.

Okay, so OVERALL, I actually ended up being happier about this box after writing this post. Got to count my blessings, so sorry if the post started out negative at first!

I can’t wait to get my April box – my birthday is on the 18th!!!

Well, congratulations for reaching the end of this post! THANK YOU, and YOU ROCK!

Did you get this month’s Fairyloot box? What item did you appreciate the most?

What’s your favorite book box?

Sincerely Peachy (1)

  1. I absolutely looooved the scarf but, as you said, I can imagine it being “meh” if you haven’t read the books yet, haha. A friend of mine had the same reaction and went “Seriously, now I HAVE to read those books because I can hardly walk the streets with that scarf without having read them, right?!” Talk about motivation to read books. 😛

The cork things are.. well, those are my “meh” thing of the box, really. I don’t really have room for them and it isn’t something I’m willing to make room for either? I don’t know. Maybe it’ll be a fun thing when birthdays come up to hang the cards on, or Christmas cards? Like, that could work?

I did think they’d have made this box extra special because it’s an anniversary box but I’m pretty happy with it anyway. 🙂

    1. 😂 and I agree about the cork bunting. Like, I thought she might include something like that because of the theme, but I thought a picture frame would have been nicer if we’re talking practical and useful.
